The Top 5 Things I Wish I Did Different In the Beginning Of My Business

business Feb 20, 2020

WOW.

There are so many things I wish I did differently in my business but I know I have to just pick 5 (lol).

Adversity will happen throughout starting your business without a doubt. It’s how you manage adversity that will separate you from others to have success in your business. Remember to control what you can control as adversity hits. Adapt and adjust as problems arrive and figure out solutions that work best. Be a problem solver and not a complainer!

As I reflect on the beginning of my business, there are some things that I wish I did differently:

  1. Not Doing the adequate “Business” obligations : Hiring a lawyer, accountant, bookkeeper. This was something I did not do and it BIT me in the foot later on. So if you are reading this, make sure to do your due diligence and hire out the important things.
  2. Not Exploring Other Social Media Platforms: I totally get wanting to focus on one platform BUT it can be so important to be multi-present on different platforms to really gain exposure.
  3. Not Investing Early On: Investing is SO important in your business. I wish I    invested way early on to help guide, coach + teach me how to become a better coach, leader, CEO.
  4. Not Getting On Video:  The more you’re on video the better you will be become at it. Don’t hide behind that logo, because your audience won’t trust you as much. Being on video more will make that relationship with your audience more intimate.
  5. Not Prioritizing Connection Building: Prioritize connection building with people online, because you don’t know where that relationship will take you. My friend Avery and I met online and now we are about to be business partners for our upcoming membership. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people, because it’s not you comfort zone. Be comfortable being uncomfortable and your business will grow the way you want it to.

These are 5 things that I wish I did differently and WISH I actually did when I first started!
